    • Understand and discuss fear, stress and emotion principles of fear of fireworks.
    • Discuss several case studies of fear of fireworks.
    • Relate theory to practice and create a treatment plan to reduce fear.

    Meet your teacher:

    I’m Dr. Else Verbeek, and I specialize in canine behavior, cognition, stress, anxiety and the neuroendocrinology that regulates these processes. I have over 15 years of experience as a researcher in different animal species. I also teach at the University in Uppsala, Sweden, where I'm the course leader of the MSc course "Animal Behaviour and Welfare" and the PhD course "Understanding cognition and emotions to improve animal welfare".
